Be aware of, and comply with, all
relevant environmental legislation and
regulations, and install systems to
comply with all requirements of BS7750. |
| |
 |
Communicate and promote awareness
of relevant environmental issues to
all employees, and ensure they are trained
to fulfil their responsibilities. |
| |
 |
Seek continuous improvement in our
environmental performance by setting
of environmental objectives and targets. |
| |
 |
Consider environmental impact in our
selection and use of raw materials,
new products, processes and plant. |
| |
|
|
| What
this means to our customer: |
| |
 |
We believe that a company that adheres
to a sound environmental policy improves
not only it's own environment, but also
becomes more efficient. Staff work in
a healthier workplace and with materials
carefully selected to help them. This
allows the daily work to proceed with
less stress, which makes it easier to
achieve our quality standards with good
efficiencies and at a cost-effective
price. |
| |
|
|
| What
this means in reality: |
| |
 |
All materials are selected with a
view to the environment. Of course,
most paper is recyclable, but the
papers you will receive from Dempson
Packaging are either almost 100% recycled
or manufactured from sustainable forests.
In this way we can assure you of our
commitment to providing an environment
for the future.

Whenever possible inks, pastes and
peripheral supplies are brought to minimise
their impact on the environment: 90%
of our inks are waterbased and most
paste is starch-based, and biodegradable. |
| |
 |
Machines are bought for their energy
efficiency, as well as their production
efficiencies. Construction is made to
reduce heating emissions and costs. |
| |
 |
In an environment where noise pollution
is a real problem, machines are also
selected on the basis of this pollution
value. |

Waste Paper: Printed and unprinted

|
| |
 |
Film: Waste film is kept separate
from the general factory waste and sold
for recycling. |
| |
 |
